Ohaneze Ndigbo chief Offia Nwali is dead
The Deputy National Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Sen. Offia Nwali, is dead.
He was 74.
He was reportedly found dead inside a pond located in his Ameka Community, Ezza South local government area of Ebonyi State, on Saturday.
He was the first black man to obtain Ph.D in Computer and Analytical Studies from Harvard University, United States.
The late Inspector- General of police, MD Yusuf, facilitated his return to Nigeria in 1972 shortly before he was appointed chairman of school board by the then East Central state.
Nwali, a foremost founding father of Ebonyi State, represented Abakaliki Senatorial District at the National Assembly, between 1979-1983.
