Just imagine what anger can cause! A 37-year-old woman, Caroline Wanjiru is alleged to have locked the gate to her residence, then took her kids to the bedroom where she doused them with petrol and set them on fire.  The children were charred beyond recognition alongside their mother who is said to have fought with her man prior to the incident. The husband, a senior banker, was away at the time of the accident. Neighbors who went to the residence to put out the fire had a hard time as the place had been locked and they had to break down the gate. The three, 9yrs old Grace Murugi, 2yrs old Paul Macharia and their mum, were dead before the fire was put out. It is believed that the angry wife had parked a car to block the gate from inside, making it impossible for those who wanted to help to open the gate even after breaking the lock. Twin girls who were born as triplets but are joined at the head and share a skull may soon be separated in a life-changing operation. Their mother, Siti Nuryaningsih, actually gave birth to triplets but the two girls who have been named Nadira Alifa Putri and Nadiba Aisyah Putri, were conjoined sharing a skull but not a brain while their sister was perfectly fine. They were born late January & delivered by Caesarean section at the Tanjungpinang Regional General Hospital in Indonesia. Their Parents are now waiting for an operation that will hopefully separate their daughters, allowing them to lead a normal life. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arraigned one Irene Okeoha (pictured) before Justice S. C. Amadi of the State High Court, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, on a one-count charge of stealing the sum of eight million naira. Irene Okeoha, who was the customer service manager, Ecobank Plc, Hotel Presidential branch, allegedly defrauded the bank of the sum of N8m before her arrest.

No fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead after a fight broke out between Hausa and Igbo traders at the popular Ariaria market in Aba, Abia state this afternoon. According to one of the traders, trouble started after an Ibo trader cautioned an Hausa trader who urinated close to his shop. This degenerated into an argument which turned physical. Supporters of both traders then turned the disagreement into a free for all fight. Three traders were reportedly stabbed to death. The state police spokesperson, Onyeka Ezekiel, said the police brought the situation under control.
