It was a painful Sunday in Gombe state yesterday as a boy drown at Gombe international hotel along 3 mile tumfure road. The young man is an Igbo boy named nwobodo. He just graduated and is waiting for Nysc posting this year . We were very surprise because the boy can swim. Up till now we can't tell what killed this brilliant boy. The mom is still crying because she can't believe that her son who finish eating in the afternoon won't return home alive. My candid advice to everyone is to be very careful when swimming. if you can't swim, just stay within 5ft to 5.5ft. if you can swim, enjoy at 6.5ft to 7ft. Dont ever go close to 9ft or 10 ft. its a death trap. My prayer to everyone is that these type of misfortune will never befall us, our family and friends in Jesus name I pray Amen.

An EFCC source said: “There are many issues which she ought to respond to but there is a subsisting directive given to FCT courts to stop granting remand warrant to EFCC. If the anti-graft agency does not detain for a while, the ongoing investigation will be disrupted. “The EFCC is not after perpetual detention but it needs time to dig into facts available to it. For instance, the account provided by Nenadi Usman had over N4billion from different depositors, including individuals and organisations. The list of those who made funds available ought to be screened by the EFCC.” On the fate of Mr.

Nigerian Actress Foluke Daramola: I Don’t Believe In Gender Equality, A Man Should Be A Step Ahead…

Image
Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola recently shared her take on Gender equality in a quick chat with TS Weekender. When asked to share her view on Gender Equality Bill, the actress said: “I’m sorry I don’t think men and women should have equal rights in this case. I think the male should have more than the female, but it should be with proportion, maybe on a ration of 60 to 40. The reason why I think so is because we women tend to be extremely domineering when it comes to issues and sometimes sentimental. Men can be detailed even though we are sometimes. So, there are proportions in all these things. The role of a man can never be over emphasized. Even though I’m a woman rights activist, I still believe in the place of a woman and a man. The man is suppose to be a step ahead of the woman; you can never take that away.” Do you agree with her?

Another Crisis Looms In Senate As Saraki Rejects New Clerk

Image
A fresh storm is brewing in the Senate after last Thursday’s rejection by Senate President Bukola Saraki of the appointment of Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori as Acting Clerk of the National Assembly. Saraki’s action have pitched him on a collision course with National Assembly Service Commission which made the new appointment. Also, many Senators are shocked by Saraki’s action which they saw as unnecessary. Saraki had ordered the withdrawal of the letter of the appointment to the new Clerk because, according to him, the Commission sidetracked due process in taking the decision. Many senators said Saraki and his chief of staff did not even consult anyone, but acted on their own. “When the news broke on Friday, many of us were hearing about the correspondence for the first time. The issue of who becomes the Clerk of the National Assembly is strictly the business of the civil service and there is a commission in charge of such matters,” a senator told The Nation. “To tell
